We have recently upgraded office version to 2013.

After the upgrade I have been experiencing issues with search.

Today fed up I decided its better rebuild the index

Being on SSD I hope it won’t take days….

There could be many reasons for this and one is your search index is corrupt.

How to Rebuild Index in 2013 is quiet simple and normally not worth sharing. But let me put it over here so I can copy and send to someone if they get the issue

Go to File Tab -> Choose Options

Select Search

Click on Indexing options

Click Advanced button

Select Rebuild from Troubleshooting options

Verify the status after a day J

To verify status

Click on the Search bar

New option appears in the top Ribbon with Search Tools

Click on Search Tools and select Indexing Status
